Let’s talk about the question everyone is thinking but no one really wants to ask out loud…
How much does a luxury wedding planner actually cost?
And more importantly: what are you paying for?
Because spoiler alert — it’s not just emails and schedules. It’s expertise, design, access, and peace of mind.
1. Luxury planning is an investment in experience
You’re not buying “help,” you’re buying space.
2. Typical UK pricing ranges
Planners fee’s can vary dramatically. At RVD, our fees start at £10’000 for a UK wedding celebration and then 10% of the budget thereafter.
3. What’s included in full-service luxury planning?
With RVD, it’s pretty much everything (bar the legal stuff) Design, sourcing, logistics, styling, guest management, on the day event management from the moment the first supplier leaves to the moment the last leaves.
4. What is the planning process?
From planner to planner, the process can vary hugely — but for us, everything is led by you.
We’re very much a couple-first team, which means communication is tailored to how you like to work. Some couples want to be involved in every detail, others prefer a more hands-off experience… either way, we’ve got you.
Behind the scenes, we are proudly Google Drive–heavy (organisation is our love language). We keep all contracts, invoices and proposals neatly stored in one shared space, alongside a live budget document — which is, honestly, our bible throughout the planning journey.
We also use Aisle Planner (an industry favourite) to manage timelines and checklists, Canva for all things design and visual direction, and of course trusty WhatsApp for quick, easy day-to-day communication.
Expect plenty of touchpoints throughout the process, with the freedom to be as involved as you’d like — calm, collaborative, and beautifully organised from start to finish.
5. Why couples choose planners early
Because availability + the best suppliers go fast.
6. The hidden value: calm, confidence, creativity
The real luxury is not doing it alone.
