Where Alice in Wonderland Began: A Cotswolds Marquee Wedding

Held at the bride's family home, the very house where Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland, this wedding for 170 guests leaned all the way into its literary inheritance without ever tipping into pastiche. A 36-metre clear-span marquee gave us the scale to build three distinct spaces under one roof, each with its own atmosphere and pace for the evening. Lighting and draping shifted from section to section, so guests moved through changing colour, texture, and mood as the night unfolded, each third revealing a new experience. Guests were welcomed with an interactive Drink Me station, the first of many playful nods to the story woven through the day's design. With multinational families to consider, every detail, from wayfinding to table plans was built to feel effortless for guests travelling from across the world, while never losing the wit and wonder the setting demanded.
